AN ORDINANCE AMENDING POLICY 6.3.2(b) IN FINDINGS, POLICIES AND IMPLEMENTATION
STRATEGIES, VOLUME 2 OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND THE COMPATIBILITY MATRIX IN
CHAPTER 18.26 OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE (CPA 18-84) AND DECLARING AND
EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 84-25 and Ordinance 84-26 were adopted on April 30,
1984 by City Council to amend Policy 6.3.2(b) of the Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, while administering Policy 6.3.2(b) it has become apparent that some
clarification of the policy is necessary to ensure uniform application of this
policy; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning Commission on July 10,
1984, toconsideran amendment to Policy 6.3.2(b) and the compatibility matrix
=° and a recommendation was made to City Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council on July 23, 1984,
to consider the Planning Commission recommendation.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Policy 6.3.2(b) shall be amended to add the language underlined
below:
WHERE THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMEN. ABUTS AND EXISTING HOUSING
DEVELOPMENT, THE HOUSING TYPES WITHIN 100 FEET SHALL BE
COMPATIBLE AS DEFINED .BY THE COMPATIBILITY MATRIX IN CHAPTER
18.26 OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE.
Section 2: The compatibility matrix shown in Chapter 18.26 of the Community
Development Code under the definition of compatibility shall be
amended as setforth below. Language to be added is underlined.
Language to be deleted is shown in [brackets].

Section l: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the Peace, health and safety of
the people of the City of Tigard that this amendment be made
with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
