AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF CHAPTER 5.04 BUSINESS LICENSE OF THE TIGARD
MUNICIPAL CODE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that persons presently holding business
licenses for a particular occupation at a particular location have moved their
business location and not notified the City; and;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to require that persons holding
business licenses must notify the City if a change of location within the City
boundaries takes place; and,

WHEREAS, the City Council finds it unnecessary to require the signature of the
applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Section 5.04.070 (b) shall be amended as follows:
Delete the following wordage:
(8) Signature of the applicant.
Section 2: Section 5.04.070 (c) shall be amended to read as follows:
No license shall be transferred unless the consent of the City
Recorder is obtained and the fee of five dollars is paid. A record
of such a transfer shall be made by the City Recorder in the business
license records. No licensee shall change the location of a
business within the City boundaries without notification to
the Planning Director.

ro..adopt these amendments as soon as possible, an emergency is declared
to exist. This ordinance shall therefore become effective immediately
upon its passage by the Council and its approval by the Mayor.
