AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.28, OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO
SECTION 10.28.130( ) TO PERMIT PARKING ON A PORTION OF S.W. SUMMERFIELD DRIVE,
WEST OF S.W. CENTURY OAK DRIVE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 10.28.130( ) of the Tigard Municipal Code, relating to
locations where parking is prohibited at any time, be, and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"10.28.130 Prohibited at any time. No person shall at any time park
or leave standing a vehicle of any kind or character, whether motorized or
not, and whether attended or unattended, within the following defined
portions of public streets and highways within the city:
"( ) within the right-of-way of S.W. Summerfield Drive, extending
from the intersection thereof with the north right-of-way line of S.W.
Durham Road to the intersection thereof with the west right-of-way line of
S.W.'Alderbrook Drive; EXCEPT that there is authorized and designated an
unrestricted (time) vehicular parking area commencing at the west right-of-
way line of S.W. Century Oak Drive running westerly a distance of three
hundred feet along the south curb of S.W. Summerfield Drive."
Section 2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause to have the areas, as above set forth, suitably
posted in the manner provided by law.
Section 3: Inasmuch as this ordinance is necessary to protect the health, safety
and general welfare of the public and emergency is recognized to
exist and is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage and approval by the City Council.
PASSED: By the City Council by vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by number and title only, this
