ORDINANCE NO. 76--
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.08.011 OF CHAPTER
2.08 - PLANNING C0MMISSI0N - OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE
By REINSTATING PROVISIONS FOR NONRESIDENT APPOINTMENTS
TO THE PLANNING COM?4ISSION; PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : Section 2.08.011 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
2.08.011 Appointment -- Membership. The city
planning comm1ssion shall consis , o nine members, 4
not more than two of whom may be nonresidents of
the city, to be appointed by Council, to serve a term
of four years. Commission members shall receive no
compensation but shall be reimbursed for duly author-
ized expenses
Section 2: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace,
health and safety of the people of the City
of Tigard that"provisions be made for appointment of non-
residents to the planning commission, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage by the Council and signature
of the Mayor.
