Ordinance No. 74-44 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No. 74 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING Section 10.28 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE WITH RESPECT TO PARKING PROHIBITIONS ON A PORTION OF S.W. HALL BOULEVARD AND A PORTION OF S.W. VILLA,RIDGE ROAD; PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Section 10.28.130 (2) of the Tigard Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: (2) Within the following described portions of the right-of-way of S.W. Hall Baulevard: (a) Within that portion of the east half of the right-of-way of S.W. Hall Boulevard between the intersection of the southerly right-of-way of S.W. Pacific Highway (99-W) with the easterly right-of-way line of S.W. Hall Boulevard and the most southerly access driveway of Knauss Chevrolet Company appurtenant to Lot 5, Tigard Road Gardens, Washington County, Oregon; (b) Within that portion of the right-of-way of S.W. Hall Boulevard, extending from the intersection thereof with the Oregon Electric Railroad tracks (Southern Pacific) southeasterly to the intersection thereof with the center of Fanno Creek. Section 2: That Section 10.28 of the Tigard Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended and supplemented to add thereto a new Section 10.28.125 reading as follows: "10.28.125 Specified Period Restrictions. "No person shall park a motor vehicle of any kind or character between the hours specified on the following defined portions of public streets in the City. (1) Between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM within the right-of-way of S.W. Villa Ridge Road extending from the point of intersection of the center line of S.W. 72nd Avenue with the center line of S.W. Villa Ridge Road Northeasterly to the junction thereof with S.W. Pacific Highway (99W)." Section 3: Inasmuch as it is necessary for.the peace, health and safety of the people of the City of Tigard that parking by all vehicles, whether motorized or not and whether attended or unattended, be prohibited within the herein designated public highways and that such prohibition be effective with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage by the Council arid approval by the Mayor.
