T_111E CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS POLLO!"!S:
Section 1: Section 16.114.010 of the TiE:ard Punicipal Code be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 3.6.44.010. Ad,-)-,)tior. of Uniform Sjp-n Code and
Requirin� Compliance `'l:erearith.
(a) The 1973 Edition of the Uniform Sir,,n Code
as published by the International Conference of 3uild-
ingle-al Officials is hereby adopted to the s, I.,
force and effect as if the same were set forth herein
in full oursuant to authority of OT-,S 221.330, and may
be cited as the "City of Tigard Uniform SJ.Zn Code of
1973".
(b) That not less than three (3) copies of the
1973 Edition of the Uniform Sign Code as published by
the International Conference of Buildinf; OfPicials
shall be kept and -maintained on file in the Office
of the City Recorder for use and examination by the
public pursuant to ORS 221-330.
(c) That in the event of any inconsistency between
the provisions of the City of Tigard Uniform Sian Code
of 197ani any other provisions of Title 16 of the
Tisard'Muviicipal Code.. the requirements of the City Of
Ti-ard Uniform Sign Code of 1973 shall supersede and
be enforced in lieu of such inconsistent provision.
Section 2: In conformity rJ. h Sections ORS 456.750 et seq, the
1973 Edition of the Uniform Building; Code as published
by the International Confercnce of Building officials as amended
by the State of Oregon ha.;.! boen adopted as the City of Tis�_ard
Uniform Building Code of -197'-t, and regulations for the construction
and maintenance of signs have been excluded therefrom and inasmuch as it iE
necessary for the peace, health and safety of the people of the
City of Tigard that xroviSion be made for continuity of City Juris-
diction with respect to matters within the purview of the Uniform
Sign Code and enforcement 'thereof by the City, an emergency is here-
by declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective upon
its passage by the Council and approval by the Playor.
