The Commission also caused a study to be made on this proposal
which considered economic, demographic and sociological trends
and projections and physical development of the land.
On the basis of the public, hearing and the study, the Boundary
Commission made a number of findings :
a) the territory to be annexed is contiguous to the City;
b) the territory contains 1 acre, 1 single family dwelling
and an estimated population of 3 persons;
c) the City proposed this boundary change as part of a
total program to annex its fringe area because the
City's irregular boundaries are hampering the orderly
and efficient administration of certain public services
in the area--specifically police protection, local street
construction and maintenance and land use planning and
control; _
d) the City has recently completed a comprehensive land
use planning program and the Cbuncil has adopted the "Tigard
Community Plan." which includes the property in this boundary
change proposal;
e) . the territory is within the service sphere of the City
for sanitary sewerage service and police protection.
y On the basis of the findings listed above, the Boundary Commission
approved BOUNDARY CHANGE PROPOSAL NO. 354 on January 19, 1972.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED THAT the territory described above be
annexed to the City of Tigard as of 45 days from this date or at
what other subsequent date that the law rewires.
