Ali ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LAI'= OF ANNANT)
ET AL IN Section 10, Township 2 South, Ranke 1 West, Willamette
Meridian, Washington County, Oregon, commonly called the "CANTERBURY
CREST" ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to the City, and
have filed consent, to said annexation with the City Recorder under
date of the 7th day of March , 1969; and
WHEREAS, the ia:ads hereinafter described and proposed to be
annexed are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of T11�ard
and are not within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all
respects, qualified to be annexed to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No.69-13 duly enacted by the City
Council of Tigard on the loth day of February, 1969, the City Council
did elect to dispense with submitting the annexation proposal to the
registered voters of the City of Ti,, ard, and did by said ordinance
set Monday, the 10th day of ?March, 1969 at the hour of 6:00 P,i,i, at
the r_.it:y f nll, Tigard, Oregon, as the time and place for public hear-
ing by the Council of said annexation rpoposal; and
WHEREAS, said hearing of dlarch 10, 1969 war, duly publicized
by notice published once each week for two successive weeks, or three
publishings in all, to-wit: on the 20th clay of February, 1,69, the
27th day of February, 1969 and the 6th day of ` agog , 1969, in thf,
Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation and published in
the City of Tigard, Oregon; that an affidavit of said publication is
on file herein and that notice of said hearing was further given by
posting in four public and conspicuous places within the City of
Tigard for a like period and that the affidavit of the City Recorder
with respect to said posting is on file hez•ein; and
WHEREAS, 'Unere has been filed with the City Recorder written
consent to an-,iczation from the owners and contract purchasers with
respect to the lands included dithi.n the hereinafter described bound-
aries and that saiP_ consent was filed on Larch ? 1969
prior to the date of said hearing; and
WHEi.EAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
held at the City 'Mall, City of Tigard, on I,iarch 10, 1969 at the hour
of 6:00 P.M., whereat all interested persons and registered voters of
the City desiring to be heard, were heard, and said hearing was duly
closed; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all statutory .requirements for the
annexation of the fallowing described area to the City of Tigard have
received full compliance and that said area may be lawfully annexed
to the City of Tigard,
NOW, THEREFORE,

ITHE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1• That all of the following described lands be, and the
same are, hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the
boundaries of the City of Tigard be, and they are., hereby extended
to include the following lands within the iald boundaries.
As described on the attached sheet headed EXHIBIT "A"
which by reference herein is made a part hereof
Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard ba, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance or annexation
b. A certified copy of the statement of consent Of
the landowners in the territo-2y annexed the

and to file herein the acknowledgment of the Secr�taYy o£ State of
said filing.
Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the
Department of Records and Elections of the County of WashinUtoi., the
following:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation

Section k:
The annexation hereby ordained s'nalI be effective on the
date of filing with the Secretary o£ State of Oregon the
copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be Bled,

and fron and after said date the hereinabove describeand annexed
territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by number and title
only, this 10th day of March, 1969.
