ORDINANCE No. 69
AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA-
TION OF THE LANDS OF JameSR1Jk' PWaMgastis, et al and Ted L. Millar,
et al, in Section 10, , ,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF,
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re-
^rder of the Citv of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain
lands in Section 10, T2S, R14, W.M.
Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard
and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie
wholly within the County of Washington, State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be
annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to
the registered voters of the territory, since the owners thereof,
James J. Praggastis, et al and Ted L. Millar, et al
have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAI'S AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereby
elect to dispense with submitting the question of the
annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered
voters of the City.
Section_2: That Monday, the 24th day of Febr.uarr , 19fi9 at the
hour of 8:00 p.m., at the City Ha in the Ci4y of
Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place
for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the petition

time and place and be heard on the question of said annexation,
Section 3: The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby, directed to give notice of said hearing by pub-
lication once each week for two successive weeks, or three publish-
ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard TimcS,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City, said Recorder

A tract of land in the northeast quarter of Section 10,
Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington
County, Oregon and being the lands of James J. and Kay K.
Praggastis, Ted L. and Emily Darlene Millar, and Arthur J.
Poulin and Esther L. Poulin, more particularly described as
follows:
All of that trac, of land recorded in contract from Esther
A. C. Rock in Houk 651, Page 242, geed .records of said county
to James J. Praggastis and Kay K. Praggastis, husband and
wife, and Ted L. Millar and Emily Darlene Millar, husband and
wife, being lot 6 and 6A, amended plat of Canterbury Place,
a subdivision of record in Washington County, Oregon; excepting
that portion deeded to Oregon State Highway Department.
Section 5: Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation
of the lands her:=.in described should be conducted with
the least passible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety
of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its y
passage by the Council and signature by the Player.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by number and
