AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 of ORDINANCE No. 68-25
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON APRIL 22, 1968, TO CORRECT THE DESCRIPTION
OF LANDS OF SARAH E. STEELE AND HOWARD S. GASS ET UX, ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF TIGARD BY ORDINANCE No. 68-25.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 68-25 duly passed by the City Council
of Tigard on April 22, 1968, certain lands of Sarah E. Steele and Howard
S. Gass et ux, Washington County, Oregon as therein described were annexed
to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, the description of said lands as contained in Section 1
of said Ordinance No. 68-25 and Ordinance No. 68-32 is ambiguous and
requires clarification,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 68-25 enacted by the Citv
Council of Tigard on April 22, 1968, and Ordinance No. 68-32
enacted by the City Council of Tigard on May 15, 1968, be, and the same
is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Beginning at the Northeast corner of the John L. Hickli.n D.L.C.
No. 54 IN SECTION 35, T1S, R1W, W.M. AND RUNNING THENCE S 890 34' W a
distance of 500.00 feet, to the beginning point of County Road No. 1766;
thence northerly along the centerline of, formerly Heintz Avenue, 182
feet more or less to a point on the south right of way line of the
Beaverton Tigard Highway, said point being approximately station 381 + 10;
thence Northwesterly, along the south right of way line to the West boundary
line of Graham Acres; thence N 00 27' E; 203 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 31 Graham Acres Tract; thence S 890 07' E a distance of 1067.7 feet
to a point on the Easterly line of the D. C. Graham D.L.C.; said point also
being the Northeast corner of Lot 12 of said subdivision; thence, S 00 17' W
along said line 573.14 feet to the Southeast corner of the D. C. Graham
D.L.C. f52; thence S 880 52' W a distance of 230.3 feet to the true point
of beginning."
Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is hereby
directed forthwith to make and submit certified copies of this
Ordinance to the following offices:
a. Office of the Secretary of State of Oregon
b. Department of Revenue and Taxation of Washington
County, Oregon
c. Department of Records and Elections of Washington
County, Oregon
u. Office of the County Surveyor of Washington
County, Oregon
and to file herein the acknowledgments of said Departments of said
filings.
Section 3: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace, health and
safety of the people of the City of Tigard, Oregon that
the description of the premises annexed by Ordinance No. 68-25 be
clarified with the least possible delay, to preserva the integrity
of the boundaries of the City of Tigard, an emergency is hereby

declared to exist; and this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon
its enactment by the Council, approval by the Mayor, and filing same with
the Office of Secretary of State of Oregon,
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by title and number
only, this 12th day of August 1968.
