ORDINANCE No. 68- >
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LANDS OF
THOMAS G. LAWSON et ux; HOWARD R. ADKINS et ux; and WAYNE D. ADKINS
Jr et ux, being a portion of Lot 21, PICIWING ORCHARD TRACT in Section 2,
T2S R1W W M WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
� WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
'rt petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to the City, and
have filed consent to said annexation with the City Recorder under
data of the )g_day of Februarv.__, 1968; and

WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described and proposed to be
annexed are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Tigard
and are not within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all
respects, qualified to be annexed to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 68-11 duly enacted by the City
Council of Tigard on the _day of _ t1a t , 1968, the City
Council of Tigard did elect to dispense—with su muting the annexa-
tion proposal to the registered voters of the City of Tigard, and

did by said ordinance set Monday the 8 day of April -
at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at the city Hall, Tigard, Oregon,�s the
` time and place for public hearing by the Council of said annexation
proposal; and
WHEREAS, said hearing of a was duly
publicized by notice published oncsac wee or two successive

weeks, or three publishings in all, to-wit: An the 21 day of
: March , 1968, the 28 day of March ;T�S68 and the a

circulat on an p dished in the City of Tigard, Oregon; that an
affidavit of said publication is on file herein and that notice of
said hearing was further given by posting in four public and conspic-
uous places within the City of Tigard for a like period and that the
z affidavit of the City Recorder with respect to said posting is on
file herein; and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
' held at the City Hall, City of Tigard, on Aril 8 1960
at the hour of 8:00 p.m., whereat all interest.a persons and regis-
tered voters of the City desiring co be heard, were heard, and said
' hearing was duly closed; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all statutory requirements for the
annexation of the following described area to the City of Tigard have
received full compliance and that said area may be lawfully annexed
to the City of Tigard,
i. NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That all of the following described lands be, and the
same are, hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the
boundaries of the City of Tigard be, and they are, hereby extended
to include the following described lands within the said boundaries:
As set forth on the attached sheet headed "DESCRIPTION" by reference
made a part hereof.

DESCRIPTION
A portion of Lot 21, Frewing orchard Tract in Section 2,
r Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington
County Oregon.
Beginning at the angle point of Lot 19 said, Frewing Orchard
Tract being on the center line of county road number 713 (S.W.
Frewing Street) ; South 530 16' East a distance of 178.2 feet from
the most northerly point of said lot 19; running thence south 49
22' East along the centerline 62.1 feet; thence, North 450 55'
East a distance of 298.52; thence, North 30 03" west, a distance
of 20.83 feet, to a point on the northeasterly line of said lot
21; thence North 430 47' West along said northeasterly line a
distance of 290 feet; more or less, thence, south 480 49' west a
distance of 163 feet to a point on the northeasterly line of that
tract of land conveyed to Ludvig Anderson and recorded in Deed
Book 127, Page 285 of said county; thence South 450 12' West a
distance of 67 feet; thence, south 450 40' west a distance of
134.0 feet to a point on centerline of county road No. 713; thence
south 560 16' East along centerline of said road 236.2 feet more
or less to the point of beginning.

Section 22; That the Recorder of the C4ty of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:

a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
=, b. A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed
c. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68- 11 whereby
the City Council declared that no election is
required in the City,
and to file herein the acknowledgment of the Secretary of State of
said filing.
t Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,

to file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the N
Department of Records and Elections of the County of Washington,
Y, the following:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68- 11
and that a copy of this ordinance be directed to the Office of the
Washington County Surveyor, and to file herein the acknowledgments
of said Departments of said filings.

Section 4: Tha annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on
May 29e. 1968 after filing with the Secretary of State of Oregon the
oopies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be filed,
and from and after said date the hereinabove described and annexed
territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council
members present, after being read three times by
