x AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA-
TION OR THE LANDS OR LAWRENCE M. BASTIAN et ux and JOHN A. GLAUBKE
et ux in Sec.34 TlS R1W, W.M.
WASHINGTON COUNTI, ORNGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re-
corder cf the City of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain
hands in Section 34, TIS, R1W, W.M.,
Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard
and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie
wholly within the County of Washingtun, State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be
rf annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to
the registered voters of the City, since the owners thereof,
LAWRENCE M. BASTIAN, HILDA BASTIAN, JOHN A. GLAUBKE AND MARY M. GLAUBKE
have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereby
elect to dispense with submitting the question of the
annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered
' voters of the City.

Section 2: That Monday, the 22 day of May , 196 at the
hour of 8:00 p.m.,at the City-B-a-1-1 in the City of
Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place
for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the petition
of LAWRENCE M. BASTIAN et ux and JOHN A. GLAUBKE et ux
for annexation of the hereinafter described lands to the City of
Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear at said
time and place and be heard on the question of said annexation.
Seetion_J: The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by pub-
lication once each week for two successive weeks, or three publish--
Ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and said Recorder
be, and she is hereby further directed to post notices of said hearing
in four aublie places in the City of Tigard for a like period.
x Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same
is hereby described as follows:

Beginning at a stake on the south line of the north )<i of the John L. Hicklin
A.L.C. No. 54 in section 34, T1S, R1W, Y.M., Washington County, Oregon, at
` the southwest corner of the tract Conveyed to Henry Tiedemann et ux, as de-
scribed on page 390 in Book 450, Washington County, Oregon, Deed Recorda,
and which southwest corner is said to bear 23.065 chains East from the south-
west corner of said north 36 of said D.L.C.; Thence North along the west ling
of said Tiedemann tract, 25.0 feet to the north line of the corporate Limits
of the City of Tigard, and true beginning point of the tract herein described;
Thence continuing North along said west line 972.0 feet to the northwest cora
nor thereof; thence Beat along the coutweliuo of said north u of a.ld D.L.C:
1268.0 feet, more or loan, to the seater of Fanno Creek; thence Southerly in
the center of said Creek 20.0 feet to the northwest corner of parcel 1, of
the tract conveyed to Lester 0. Plock at us, as described on page 86 in Book
492, @aid Deed Recorda; thence continuing Southerly in said Creek, 95.0 feet, 4-
more or loss, to the southwest corner of said Mock tract; thence S.66.44'E, i
21.2.4 feet to an iron pipe at the southeast corner of said Plock tract, thence
continuing s.66 W E. 20.o feat , more or less, to the center of Tiedoman
Road; thence Southwesterly is the center of said Road, 664.0 feet, more or
less, to a point 50.0 foot distant northerly, when seaaured at right angles
from the easterly extension of,the north line of the tract conveyed to C1ar- :t

thence Westerly, Southerly mad Westerly along Fwd north line of said Corp-
orate Limits to the true place of beginning. u
Section. 5: Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation
ofthelands herein described should be conducted with
the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, nealth and safety
of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its
passage by, the Council and signature by the Mayor.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council
members present, after being read three times by number
and title only this 24 day of April , 1967.
