AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA-
TION OF THE LANDS OF DAYLE D. BEACH and EVELYN 0. BEACH, BEING A
PORTION OF LOTS 14 and 15, FRUITLAND ACRES
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re-
corder of the City of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain
lands, being a portion of Lots 14 and 1.5, FRUITLAND ACRES,
Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard
and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and iie
wholly within the County of Washingtor., State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be
annexed to the City of Ti ardwitnout submittingerstile

DAYLE D. BEACH and EVELYN 0. BEACH, husband and wife
have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereoy
elect to dispense with submitting the question of the
annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered
voters of the City.

place for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the

Section : The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is

hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by pub-
lication once each week for two successive weeks, or three publish-
ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and said Recorde',

Ing in four public places in the City of Tigard for a like period.
Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and thesame
is hereby described as follows:

In the County of Washington, State of Oregon; A portion of
Lots 14 and 15, FRUITLAND ACRES, in said county and state,
described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of
Lot 15, FRUITLAND ACRES, and running thence east along the
south line of said lot, 381.27 feet to the southwest corner
of that certain tract conveyed to C. John Gray by deed recorded
September 30, 1949, in Book 299, page 350; thence north along
the west line of the C. John Gray tract above mentioned, and a
northerly continuation thereof, 124 feet to the northwest corner
of that certain tract conveyed to C. John Gray by deed recorded
July 14, 1947, in Book 276, page 195; thence west parallel
to the south line of Lot 15, FRUITLAND ACRES, 130.67 feet to
a point on the east line of that certain tract conveyed to
Lawrence Meissner et ux, by deed recorded July 2, 1948 in
Book 286, page 649 thence south along the east line of said
i3eissnei= tract 30.44 feet to the southeast corner thereof;
thence west along the south line of said Meissner tract 250
feet to the west line of Lot 14, FRUITLAND ACRES; thence south
along the west line of Lots 14 and 15, FRUITLAND ACRES,
93.56 feet to the place of beginning.

Section 5_ Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation
of the lands herein described should be conductec with
the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety
of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its
passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
