AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER VIII OF lk
ORDINANCE No.66-20 (Parking Regulations), PRESCRIBING A LOADING
ZONE ON S. W. MAIN STREET ADJACENT TO THE CITY HALL
WHEREAS, the attention of the City Council of Tigard, Oregon
has been drawn to the need for limiting parking as hereinafter
set forth, to provide a loading area on S. W. Main Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that it is reason-
able and necessary and in the public interest that parking in the
area hereinafter defined and delineated, be regulated as herein-
after set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Ordinance No.66-20 be, and the same is hereby,
amended and supplemented to add to Chapter VIII (Park-
ing REgulations) a-new sub-paragraph denoted "Section 7-A", reading
as follows:
Section 7-A: No person shall park or leave standing
a vehicle of any kind or character, whether
motorized or not, continuously in excess of of fifteen
(15) minutes, except on Sundays and holidays, on the
Southeasterly side of S. W. Main Street within that certain
parking space located immediately in front of the City Hall
and marked for use as a loading zone, for which purpose
said parking space is hereby so designated.
Section 2: Inasmuch as it is necessary and in the best interests
of the public, and for the peace, health and safety of
the people of Tigard, Oregon that the provisions of this ordinance
be placed in full force and effect with the least possible delay,
i an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall
be effective upon its passage by the City Council and approval by
the mayor.
PASSED: -By the Council, by unanimous vote of all members present,
after being read three tires by title only, this 25th
-day of April, 1966.
