ORDINANCE No. 66 - 19
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LANDS OF
WALTER L. STAHL, HERBERT T. WATKINS, JR, et al
In Section 36, T1W., R1W, W.M. WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to the City, and have
filed consent to said annexation with the City Recorder under date of
the 14 day of March _^, 1966; and
WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described and proposed to be
annexed are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Tigard
and are not within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all re-
spects, qualified to be annexed to the City of Tigard; and
} WHEREAS, by Ordinance No.66-12 duly enacted by the City Council
!' of Tigard on the 14 day of March , 1966, the City Council of
Tigard did elect to dispense with submitting the annexation proposal to
the registered voters of the City of Tigard, and did by said ordinance
set Monday the 11 day of April , 1966, at the hour of 8:G0
o'clock p.m, at the City Hall, Tigard, Oregon, as the time and place
for public hearing by the Council of said annexation proposal; and
WHEREAS, said hearing of111

(! publicized by notice published once each weex for two successive weeks,
or three publishings in all, to-wit: On the 24 day of MBXch
1966, the 31 day of March 1966, and the 7 day of
April 196 , in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general
c rcu ation and published in the City of Tigard, Oregon; that an affi-
circudavit of said publication is on file herein and that notice of said
hearing was further given by posting in four public and conspicuous
- places within the City of Tigard for a like period and that the affi-
davit of the City Recorder with respect to said posting is on file
herein.; and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
held at the City Hall, City of Tigard, on April 11 , 1966 at the
hour of 8:00 O'clock P.M , whereat all inter—este persons and registered
voters of the City desiring to be heard, were heard, and said hearing
was duly closed; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all statutory requirements for the
annexation of the following described area to the City of

NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That all of the following described lands be, and the same
are, hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the bound-
aries of the City of Tigard be, and they are, hereby extended to
include the following described lands within the said boundaries:

- Beginning at the northwest corner of that certain tract of land in
See-36, TIS, R1W, W,M.,conveyed to Walter R.Stahl et ux by deed
recorded on page 373 in Bk-578, Washington County,Oregon, Deed
Records, said beginning point described in said deed as being S890 E.
1887.6 feet and S 00111W. 290 feet of the northwest corner of the
George Richardson D.L.C. in said See-36; running thence S 0011' W.
914 feet to the northwest corner of the tract of land conveyed to
Cz Ben H. Lee et ua by deed as described on page 498 in Bk.463 of said
:? Deed REcords; thence S 891491E. 85.0 feet to the northeast corner of
the said Lee tract; thence S 00111W. 141.311 feet to the southeast
corner of the said Lee tract' on the northerly line of County Rd.#975
known as S.W.Pfaffle Street; thence easterly along said northerly
line, being also the northerly boundary of the corporate limits of
the City of Tigadd, 121.6 feet to the southeast corner of the said
Stahl tract; thence N 0011' E. 1062.3 feet to the northeast corner
of the said Stahl tract; thence N 890 W. 206.6 feet to the place of
b*ginning.
Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed
C. A certified copy of Ordinance No.66-12 whereby the
City Council declared that no election is required
In the City,
and to file herein the acknowledment of the Secretary of State of
{ said filing.
i Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
'hereby directed, within 10 -ays from the date hereof, to
file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the
OR Department of Records and Elections of the County of Washington, the
following:
r a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of Ordinance No.66 12 ,
and that a copy of this Ordinance be directed. to the Office of the
Washington County Surveyor,
6 and to file herein the acknowledgments of said Departments of said
filings.
Section 4: The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on the
date of filing with the Secretary of State of Oregon the
copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be filed,
and from and after said date the hereinabove described and annexed
territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by title only,
this 11 day of Apri IQ66.
