ORDINANCE No. 66 - 5
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING Section 21-A (Park-
ing Regulations) of Traffic Ordinance No.63-16, as heretofore
an.ended, TO REGULATE PARKING AS FOLLOWS:
1. ON S.W.PACIFIC HIGHWAY (99-W) NEAR THE INTERSECTION
THEREOF WITH MacDONALD AVENUE.

4. ON S.W.MAIN STREET BETWEEN THE INTERSECTION THEREOF WITH
S.W.BURNHAM AND THE INTERSECTION THEREOF WITH THE OREGON ELECTRIC
RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, the attention of the City Council of Tigard,Oregon
has been drawn to the need for reconsideration of traffic flow on
the various streets and points hereinafter in this ordinance men-
tioned; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting of January
24, 1966 received reports from the Oregon State Highway Department
and from other interested persons; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that it is reason-
able and necessary and in the public interest, based on considera-
tion of factors of public safety and the primary right of the public
to the use of said public ways for vehicular traffic, that parking
in the areas hereinafter defined and delineated, be regulated as
hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) of Ordinance
No.63-15 be, and the same is, hereby amended and sup-
plemented to add to said Section 21-A an additional sub-section
numbered (10), to read as follows:
(10) No person shall at any time park or leave stand-
ing a :rotor vehicle of any kind or character, whether
motorized or not, within the following defined portions
of public highways within the City of Tigard:
(a)- Within the Southeasterly half of S.W.Pacific
Highway (99-W) within 585 feet Northeasterly and 585
feet Southwesterly of the intersection of the center
line of S.W.MacDonald Avenue with the Southeasterly
line of S.W.Pacific Highway.
(b)- Within the Northwesterly half of S.W.Pacific
Highway within 585 feet Northeasterly and 585 feet South-
westerly of the intersection of the center line of

S.W.MacDonald Avenue and the same extended, with the
Northwesterly line of S.W.Pacific Highway (99-W).
�.� (c)- Within the Northwesterly half of S.W.Pacific
w Highway between the intersectin of the Northwesterly
line thereof with the Southwesterly line of Oregon
Highway #217, and the intersection of the Northwesterly
line thereof with the Northeasterly line of S.W.Green-
�' burg Road.
(d)- Within the Southeasterly half of S.W.Pacifie
Highway between the intersectin of the Southeasterly
line thereof with the Southwesterly line of Highway
�.� #217, and the intersection of the Southeasterly line
thereof with the Easterly line of S.W.Main. Street,
City of Tigard, opposite the intersection of S.W.Green-
burg Road and S.W. Pacific Highway.
Section 2: That Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) of Ordinance
No.63-15 be, and the same is, hereby amended and sup-
plemented to add to said Section 21-A an additional sub-section !
numbered (11), to read as follows:

Section 3: That Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) of Ordinance
No.63-15 bd, and the same is, hereby amended and sup-
plemented to add to said Section 31-A an additional sub-section
numbered (12), to read as follows:
(12) All parking of motor vehicles on that portion of
S. W. Mair. Street between the intersectionthereof with S.W.
'Burnham Avenue and the Oregon Electrion R.R. right-of-way
shallbeparallel with the centerline of S.E.Main Street, and
all diagonal or "head-in" parking is hereby prohibited. '
Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective on the 31st day after
its enactment by the City Council of Tigard, Oregon,
