AN:ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEX-
ATION OF A PORTION OF PACIFIC HIGM?AY 14EST AND THE NORTHWESTERLY
PORTION OF LOT 20 FREWING ORCHARD TRACTS
WHEREAS, a petition was presented and hearing held with re-
spe- to annexation of that portion of the hereinafter described
.. lan,is standing of record in the names of Vla,= R. LEE, FLORENCE B.
LEE, RAIXH J. PETERS and BARBARA A. PETERS, and the City Council
informally approved the said annexation; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to reconsider the said area for annex-
ation along with additional area included within the boundaries of
S. W. Pacific Highway nest (9914), and the consent of the scats High-
way Commission to said annexation is on file herein,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 That Che City Council of the City of Tigard does
hereby elect to dispense with the submitting of the
question of annexation of the hereinafter described premises to
the registered voters of the City of Tigard.
Section 2: That Monday, the day of Q 1964, at the
hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
114ain Street, City of Tigard, Oregon, be, and the same are hereby
fixed as the date, time and place for a public hearing by the City
Council of the petition of VANCE R. LEE, FLORENCE B. LEE, RAUH J.
PETERS and BARBARA A. PETERS for annexation of the hereinafter de-
scribed lands to the City of Tigard, and all registered voters of
the City may appear at said time and place and, be heard on the
question of said annexation.
Section 3: That the City Records of the City of Tigard be, and
he is hereby, directed to give notice of said hearing
by publication once each week for two successive weeks, or three
publishings in all, prior to the date of said hearing, in the Tigard
Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Tigard, and
the City Recorder further be, and he is hereby, directed to post
notices of said hearing in four public places within the City of
Tigard for a like period.
Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same
is hereby, described as follows:

Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 2, rnaNG'S
ORG1i4RD TRACTS on the northwesterly line of the George
Richardson D.L.C, No. 3S in Section 2, T2S, F.lt3, vt.M.,
and running thence S 43°47' E. along the southwesterly
boundary of said Lot 2 to the southeasterly right-of-way
boundary of S. W. Pacific (state) Highway; thence south-
westerly along said Highway boundary to the northeasterly
line of Lot 20, FREJING'S ORCHARD TRACTS In the center or
S. W. Frewing Street; thence S. 53°16' E. along said
northeasterly line of Lot 20 to the most easterly corner
of that certain tract of land in said Lot 20 conveyed to
Vance R. Lee et al by deed recorded on page 132 in Deed
Book 506 Washington County, Oregon Deed Records; thence
southwesterly to the most southerly corner of the said
Lee tract; thence northwesterly to the most westerly corner
of the said Lee tract on the northwesterly line of the said
George Richardson D.L.C. No. 38; thence N. 45°12' E. along
® said claim line 504 feet, more or less, to the place of
baoinntna.
Section 5: Inasmuch as it is for the benefit of the City of Tigard
and thoae interested in the petition for annexation
that this matter be heard with the least possible delay, and it is
necessary for the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard
that this ordinance become effective with the least possible delay,
an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
