AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF A PORTION OF LOT 1, AMENDED PLAT OF NORTH TIGARDVILLE
ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of the following described
lands has been duly filed with the City Recorder of the City of
Tigard, said petition alleging that the petitioners who executed
same are each and all of the owners of the real property therein
described, and as hereinafter described, and that each of them has
consented to the annexation of said premises without submitting of
same to a vote; and
WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard
and are not within the corperate limits of any other city and lie
wholly within the County of Wasington and State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be
annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to
the registered voters of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereby
elect to dispense with the submitting of the question
of annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered
voters of the City of Tigard.

Hall, Main Street, City of Tigard, Oregon, be, and the same are
hereby'fixed as the date, time and place for a public hearing by the
City Council of the petition of RICHARD LINDNER and JOY J, LINDNER,
for annexation of the hereinafter described lands to the City of
Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear at said
time and place and be heard on the question of said annexation.

Section 3: That the City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and
he is hereby, directed to give notice of said hearing
by publication once each week for two successive weeks, or three
publishings in all, prior to the date of said hearing, in the Tigard
Times, a newspaper of_ general circulation in the City of Tigard,
and :the City Recorder further be, and he is hereby, directed to post
notices of said hearing in four public places within the City of
Tig=d for s like period,
Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same ..
is hereby described as follows
A portion of Lot 1, North Tigardville Addition, Amended
Plat, Washington County, Oregon, more particularly de-
scribed as follows;
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot 1, and running
thence West along the North line thereof 175,80. feet to the
Northeast corner of that 'certain tract conveyed to Joseph
Yocum et ux recorded June $ 23, 1945, Book 245, page, 27.7,
Washington County Deed REcords; thence Sohth along the East
line of said Yocum Tract 612.5 feet to a point, thence
continuing South along the East line of said Yocum Tract
443.85 feet to an iron pipe In the Southerly line of said

Lot 1; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said
Lot' 1 to the Southeast corner thereof;tdthence North along
the East line of said Lot 1 to the point of beginning.
Section 5: Inasmuch as it is for the benefit of the City of Tigard
and those interested in the petition for annexation
that this matter be heard with the least possible delay, and it is
necessary for the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard
that this ordinance become effective with the least possible delay,
an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor,

members present, after being read first in full and
then by title, this 17th day of August, 1964,
