CSA Consulting Engineers has reviewed the footing requirements for the subject plan.
Our calculations show that the maximum induced load to the soil, based on a footing
width of 14' /a ", is approximately 1330 psf. The applicable soils report lists an allowable
bearing pressure of 1500 psf. Assuming the absence of other specifications that would
limit the size of the footing, we conclude that a footing width of 14'/2" is adequate to
support the structure.
