The project arborist is required to oversee the excavation of the foundation and provide a report to the city that the
trees were adequately protected during the excavation. Once we receive this report, we can authorize the foundation
inspection.

Sure ... but what do you need to approve? A revised site plan? Or do you need to do an on -site inspection of the
placement of the foundation forms?

Albert,
I am forwarding MST2011- 00172. This is a unique building permit in that foundation inspection should not be
authorized until I approve. Could you please ensure the necessary measures are in place to ensure this occurs?
Thanks,

Terry,
I am reviewing the site plan for lot 14 of Ash Creek Estates. It has all of the required tree information (street trees,
protected trees, and tree fencing) but the locations of trees 5308, 5308A, 5313, and 6115 appear to have been drawn in
after you signed off on the plans. The four trees listed above are the closest to the proposed building footprint. Can you
verify that you have seen the site plan and it meets your approval? I just want to make sure before passing this on.
Thanks,
Todd

Albert,
I am reviewing the site plan for lot 14 of the Ash Creek Estates Subdivision. All trees are shown on the plan except trees
5308, 5308A, 5313, and 6115. These trees are required to be preserved and shown on the plans.
If these trees are not able to be preserved, the applicant will need to deposit $23,250 into the Urban Forestry Fund.
Thanks,
Todd

Dale, I'm sorry to say that even with your work at the counter the other day there are still four trees that are not
identified on the site plan. Please see Todd's note below. If those trees are to be saved please submit a revised site plan
that includes them. If they are not going to be preserved, please arrange for the mitigation payment into the Urban
Forestry Fund.

Dale and Terry, please see Todd's comments below regarding the identification of all protected trees and labeling of the
tree protection fencing on the site plan. Please submit a revised site plan containing these elements so that we can
release the application for review in Building.

Albert,
For MST2011- 00172, all protected trees have not been shown on plans consistent with the subdivision
approval. The tree protection fencing also needs to be labeled. Once these items are included, I will be able
to approve the plans.
