GeoPacific engineer, Jim Imbrie, was on site to observe foundation excavation for lot 8. Excavation was
complete at the time of the visit and forms were being placed. Subgrade predominantly consists of compact or
very dense fill, both granular and silt soil, with the exception of the rear footing where medium stiff silt was
exposed. The observed subgrade was adequate for spread foundation support to a maximum
allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf. The subgrade surface is wet and softened due to rain in the
upper one to two inches. The area should be dewatered and the subgrade mucked just prior to pour.
No deck footing, patio, or other appurtenant structure subgrades were observed. Due to the different
soil conditions between the front and the rear of the home, some differential footing settlement and
cracking should be expected; however the differential settlement is not expected to exceed' /z inch in
10 feet, provided the subgarade is mucked as recommended. Cracking should be controlled with the
required steel reinforcement.

conditions existing and exposed at the time of our site visit. No warranty is herein expressed or
