Submittal documents for the above referenced project have been reviewed for conformance with
the applicable 1996 Oregon Specialty Codes and other applicable codes and standards. The
following comments are noted:
The warehouse exterior envelope does not meet the requirements for enclosing
conditioned space. The unit heater specified for the warehouse provides 32 btu per
square foot exceeding the 8 btu per square feet allowance for freeze - protected areas
[OSSC, Section 1312]. If the building is sprinkler protected, apply Section 1312,
Exception No. 1 and 1.1 and submit new plans and specifications.
The equipment schedule shall include the cfm, weight, and outside air requirements.
A. The heat/ventilation system shall provide outside air per occupant in all portions
of the building [UBC Section 1202.2.1 and Table 12 -P].

The warehouse shall be provided with mechanical ventilation when natural ventilation
cannot be obtained, in accordance with OSSC, Section 1202.2. Provide ventilation.
A. Provide a floor plan of the entire tenant space and show location of all windows
and doors.
Each restroom shall be provided with an exhaust fan, exhausting not less than 50 cfm for
each water closet and /or urinal [OSSC, Section 1202.2.5].
