Minuteman Press. Permit • , BUP200]- 00681
The following design modification is required to allow for installation of plywood
on only one side of shear wail panels located at north and south ends of the
lower floor. Reference section 31 of calculations dated May 2, 2004. Shear wall
load is 26,119 lbs. Shear wall line with plywood one side only provides 18,070
lbs. capacity. An additional 8,049 lbs. of capacity is required. The following
hoiddowns will provide 3,610 lbs. capacity each. Three required at each end.
Install one PHD2 -SDS3 at the east end of the first three floor joist at the north
and south end of the building (total of six PHD2 required). Each PHD2 shall be
attached to the foundation wall with a 518" A -307 all-thread A.B. embedded 5
inches with Simpson SET epoxy installed per manufacturers specifications.
Each PHD2 shall be attached to two 3 ft long .2x6 blocks located on each side of
the I -joist web (web is sandwiched between 2x6s) with 10 SC)S3 lag bolts through
the PHD2 and an additional six 3 inch lag screws through the 2x6 per attached
