This Addenda to the Contract Documents is issued to clarify and correct the Drawings and
Specifications. This document is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents to the
same extent as though it were originally included therein.
Acknowledge receipt hereof by inserting the above Addenda number in the space
provided in the Official Proposal Form prior to submitting bid. Failure to do so may subject
bidder to disqualification.
2A SPECIFICATIONS
2A -1 01025 - UNIT PRICES
At Unit Price No. 2, Add the following:
"Roof Drain:
J.R. smith 1010 -Y -R -C or 1020- Y -R -C; 16 -inch diameter top, 2" nominal pipe size with
No -hub connection. Low profile, plastic dome, sump receiver, underdeck clamp,
dome securing device. Install with flashing sheets extending not less than 8- inches
beyond drain body; four -pound lead or Nobleflex. Connect to inside conductor
with expansion or approved swing joint in compliance with Section 1405(b) of
Oregon State Plumbing specialty Code. Provide pricing for 60 lineal feet of
connecting piping, pipe to be service weight cast iron, Fed. Spec. WW -P -401 e.
Fittings compatible with pipe, code approved for application, No -Hub cast iron,
marked with Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute insignia, Fed. Spec. WW- P -401e. Couplings
with neoprene gaskets and stainless steel shields and clamps. Installation to conform
with Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute Pamphlet 100 and in accordance with
manufacturer's instruction. Insulate underside of roof drain body with glass fiber
blanket. Insulate piping with glass fiber insulation, 3.5 pcf density, one piece,
multipurpose preformed glass fiber pipe insulation, 1/2" thickness, Manville Micro -Lok
850 with AP all purpose style vapor barrier jacket or approved equal, thermal
conductivity not to exceed 0.23 at 75 F mean temperature.

SECTION 16461 - DRY TYPE TRANSFORMERS
1.0 GENERAL
1.1 CONTRACT CONDITIONS
The Drawings, General Provisions of the Contract, Division 1 and 2, and Special Conditions of the Specification
Sections apply to this section.
1.2 SCOPE
Furnish and install dry type transformers as shown on the drawings or as specified herein.
All equipment shall be new, listed by Underwriters' Laboratories, and shall bear their label wherever standards
have been established.
1.3 REFERENCES
ANSUNEMA/IEEE: Dry Type Transformers for General Applications.
1.4 SHOP DRAWINGS
Submit product data.
Include outline and support point dimensions of enclosures and accessories, unit weight, voltage, kVA, and
impedance ratings and characteristics, loss data, efficiency at 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent rated load, sound level,
tap configurations, insulation system type, and rated temperature rise.
Submit standard warranty documentation.
2.0 PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURERS
Acme Transformer, Square D Company, Westinghouse, General Electric or approved.
2.2 DRY TYPE TRANSFORMERS
See Partial One Line Power Riser Diagram.
ANSUNEMA/IEEE; factory- assembled, air- cooled dry type shielding transformers.
Temperature Rating: 220° Celsius insulation system, 150° Celsius maximum average winding temperature rise,
and 30° Celsius maximum coil hot spot differential at 40° Celsius ambient temperature.
Case temperature shall not exceed 40° Celsius rise above 40° Celsius ambient temperature.
Winding taps: Six taps with 2.5% increment per tap; two tapes above and four taps below nominal voltage.
Sound levels: 50 dB maximum
Basic impulse level: 10 kV.
Mounting: Transformer shall be suitable for wall or floor mounting as shown on the Drawings.
Coil conductors: Aluminum or copper windings. Ground core and coil assembly to enclosure by means of a
visible flexible copper grounding strap. Isolate core and coil from enclosure using vibration- absorbing mounts.
Electrostatic Shielding: Grounded aluminum strip winding between primary and secondary windings.
Enclosure: ANSUNEMA/IEEE; Type 1. Provide lifting eyes or brackets.
Nameplate: Include transformer connection data diagram and overload capacity based on rated allowable
temperature rise.
Label shall be 1/2" black with white letters, engraved laminated plastic style with two holes per label and attached
to enclosure.
Non - linear, K -rated at K-4.

3.0 EXECUTION
3.1 GENERAL
Set transformer plumb and level.
Use flexible conduit, 2 ft minimum length, for connections to transformer case.
Mount transformers on vibration isolating pads suitable for isolating the transformer noise from the building
structure.
Provide seismic restraints.
3.2 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
Check for damage and tight connections prior to energizing transformer.
Measure primary and secondary voltages and make appropriate tap adjustments.

Submit shop drawings. Include outline and support point dimensions, voltages, main bus ampacity, integrated

1.6 SPARE PARTS
Furnish three (3) keys for each panelboard to Architect.
Furnish five (5) circuit breaker lock dogs for each panelboard to Architect. Square D HLO Series or approved.
Furnish three (3) circuit breaker pad - lockable lock -offs for each panelboard to Architect. Square D QO1PL Series
or approved.

2.2 DISTRIBUTION PANELBOARDS
Panelboards: NEMA PB 1; circuit breaker type. FS W -P -115; Type 1, Class 1.
Enclosure: NEMA PB 1; Type 1 cabinet size as required
Provide cabinet front with concealed trim clamps. Finish in manufacturer's standard gray enamel.
Provide panelboards with copper bus, ratings as shown on panel schedules. Provide full size copper ground and
neutral buses in all panelboards.
Minimum integrated short circuit rating: 30,000 amperes RMS symmetrical for 480 volt service panelboards and
22,000 amperes for branch panelboards, or as shown on the Drawings.
Molded case circuit breakers; provide circuit breakers with integral thermal and instantaneous magnetic trip in
each pole. Provide circuit breakers UL listed as Type HACR to serve air conditioning equipment branch circuits.
Main distribution panel shall be shall be service rated.
Panelboards '2A96' and '2B96' shall be non - linear rated; 200% rated neutral bus.
The word "space" shall mean "provisions for circuit breaker" as shown on the panel schedules.

ampere peak surge current per phase, and 840 joule energy dissipation per phase. ANSI/IEEE C62.41 -1991
category A1-3, B1 -3, and C1 -3 tested, at the 90 and 180 degree phase angle. UL 1449 listed. Innovative
Technology, Inc. Polaris Model PS -3Y 120 /208 Three Phase Five Wire Wye or approved.

3.0 EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
Install panelboards plumb and surface mounted with wall finishes as shown on the Drawings, in conformance with
NEMA PB 1.1.
Provide filler plates for unused spaces in panelboards.
Provide typed circuit directory for each branch circuit panelboard. Revise directory to reflect circuiting changes
required to balance phase loads.

Visual and mechanical inspection: Inspect for physical damage, proper alignment, anchorage, and grounding.
