Subject: Grant St. Elite Care Rainwater /HVAC system
To whom it may concern,
The Rainwater recovery and HVAC systems was inspected during the progress of construction at
12353 SW Grant St. Below is a summary of inspection that took place.
Date: 10/14/07
Description of work / progress inspected: Reviewed underground installation before it was
covered
® Rainwater clarifier tank installed and plumbed to the rainwater storage tanks.
® Overflow to cistern piping and initial rain event waste piping
® Piping from Rainwater storage tanks into mechanical room
® HVAC ground loops installed and terminated to manifolds
Comments, issues:
I saw no issues.

Description of work / progress inspected: Progress Inspections
® mechanical room components ( water filtration, HVAC surge tanks, water heaters, heat
pumps) installation
® interconnect plumbing for water service, rainwater harvest, and HVAC in mechanical
room
Comments, issues
1. Rainwater line had double check valve where in connects to potable water. The double
check needs to removed replaced with reduced pressure backflow protector. Replace
with Watts type 009
2. Concerned rainwater line to toilets may be too small.

• Final system completion
• Tested toilet pipe sizing by flushing all toilets in whole wing at one time. Pressure was
maintained. Pipe size adequate.
• Verify that proper RP device was installed

1. Told them to chlorinate the potable water system before use

• Verify no cross connect test between rainwater harvesting system and city water.

1. No issues system is ready to go. Good installation.
