GeoPacific Engineering inc., Roil and Wag Engineer's Summary at f oncfuaion of Earthwork, Beila Vista, Tigard Oregon, June 15, 2005, GeoPacific Engineer, Jim trebris, visited the site to review the foundation excavation subgrade. The observed fill soil is compact silty clay with rocks. Some mucking may be required if the subgrade is Left exposed to wet weather for a long duration, however the current subgrade is considered adequate with only 34 inch of muck. Based on our observations, it is our opinion that the current foundation subgrede is suitable for spread foundation support to a maximum allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf. Minimum reinforcement has been recommended In the above Reference 2. Setbacks on adjoining rockery wails are not necessary because they to not parallel one another_ Our work scope pertains to a geotechnicai engineer's foundation excavation review only and the conditions existing and exposed at the time of our site vle(t. No deck footing, patio, or other appurtenant structure subgrades were observed. Our work was performed to the current local standards of practice.
