GeoPacific Engineering, Inc. performed on -call testing at the above referenced project for the period from August
15, 20046 through November 30, 2006. Density tests were performed on fills beneath the future buildings,
private parking and driveway, Coral street improvement, and sanitary sewer trenches. A summary of our density
testing and field reports are attached. Based on our test results, tested areas met the required project
. compaction.
Our reports pertain to the materials and locations tested/inspected only. We recommend that foundation
subgrades be reviewed by a geotechnical consultant for review of bearing conditions prior to pouring concrete
foundation pour. We trust this information meets your needs.

Field Soil Inspection Summary
Project: Coral Commons

Daily Reports
8/15/06: GeoPacific technician, Jason Burgess, was on site to look at removals
of undocumented fill. When on site on 8/9/06 contractor had the whole site
stripped and removed. Potholed into on site undocumented fills_ Found heavy
organic soils on the southwest corner with concrete chunks. Four feet of
removals will be necessay towards the south sloping to less at the north. When
on site today contractor has removed fill on 115'X 115' square in the southeast
corner. Also southwest next to existing concrete block wall, 50'X 115' deep.
Soils have been taken down to native, orange brown sandy silt, native soils,
are very most and a little soft. Contractor is going to let bake out for at
least another day. Fill soils consist of a very gravelly brown silt and a dark
brown more organic clayey silt, have stated that they will get a good mixture
when reusing.
8/18/06: GeoPacific technician, Jason Burgess, was on site to look at removals
of undocumented fill removals in project. Area that has been removed is about
100 feet east to west and about 70 feet north to south. Approximately middle
of the project, towards the north half, bordering Coral Street. All organics
and unusable soils have been removed, most soils are reusable and have been
stockpiled to blend and place back as engineered fill. Native soils have been
exposed, stained blue from organic soil, have probed medium stiff to stiff and
moist. A day or two of baking in the sun will stiffen up for placement of
fill.
8/21/06: GeoPacific technician, Jason Burgess, was on site to look at removals
of undocumented fill. The back half, 120' from the east up to digout on the
west. Contractor has removed down to stained native orange brown sandy silt.
They have also been sorting clean fill materials from organics. Organic
non - usable soils have been hauled off site. Subgrade soils are ok for
placement of engineered fill.
8/30/06: GeoPacific technician, Ryan Nelson, was on site for a proofroll of
subgrade on SW Coral Street found soft spots at 8 +30 and 6 +25. Contractor must
repair prior to paving. Full water truck was used, all other areas showed
minor to no deflection.
11/3/06: Geopacific technician, Jason Burgess, was on site to look at subgrade
soils on SW Coral Street. Half street improvement is on the south side,
contractor already cored some for the curbline. Native orange brown sandy silt
is probing medium stiff to stiff. Rock section is thick already, contractor is
overexcavating a couple more inches just to be safe. Have also had contrator
take out a bit more in some spots. Soils are competent for placement of rock.
11/15/06! GeoPacific technician, Ryan Nelson, was on site for a proofroll on
baserock on Sw Coral Drive south improvement. All area of road showed minor to
no deflection. Full water truck was used. SW Coral Drive is passing 95% of a
standar proctor and is ready for asphalt.
11/30/06: Geopacific technician, Jason Burgess, was on site for a proofroll of
east and west parking areas. Rock section specified was only 2 inches under 6

inches of concrete. Contractor added more rock than was specified. Rock is
oversaturated with a thin layer of muck underneath. Have had contractor pull
out some of the worst soft spots, approximately 12. However, with this thin of
rock section and it being wet weather season grade, may not hold up to heavy
vehicles. An overexcavation should have been applied.
