The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 1998
edition; and the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Ordinance 99 -01 (TVFR99 -01) 1999 edition. The
submitted plans are approved. The above permit is approved for construction subject to the
following conditions
CONDITIONS
1. Special inspection is required for Concrete and reinforcement placement. The special
inspection agency shall furnish inspection reports to the Engineer of Record, CT Engineering,
the General contractor, and the City of Tigard Building Division (attn. Hap Watkins). All
discrepancies shall be brought to the attention of the general contractor for correction. The
special inspector shall submit a final signed report stating whether the work requiring special
inspection was, to the best of the inspector's knowledge, is in conformance with the approved
plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship provisions of the code 1701.3 OSSC
2. The City of Tigard, Building Division, is requiring Structural Observations per section 1709
Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC). The owner shall employ a registered design
professional to perform structural observations as defined in Section 1702, OSSC. The
structural observations shall take place after the framing of each floor level prior to the
installation of floor joist or roof trusses above the structural framing. Deficiencies shall be
reported in writing to the owner and to the City of Tigard, Building Division, attention Hap
Watkins. FYI The structural observations do not waive the framing inspection required by code.
3. Shear -wall Sheathing and Gypsum Sheathing shall be attached and inspected in stairwells prior
to the construction of stairs or landings.

5. Safety glazing including but not limited to: the following locations: Each unit of glazing shall
be permanently identified by the manufacturer. Sec. 2406. Some of these locations are as
follows:
a. Glazing in ingress and means of egress doors.
b. Glazing in storm doors.
c. Glazing in an individual fixed or operable panel adjacent to a door where the nearest
vertical edge is within a 24" arc of the door in a closed position and whose bottom edge
is less than 60" above the floor or walking surface except when there is an intervening
wall or other permanent barrier between the door and the glazing.
American with Disabilities Act (ADA): It shall be the responsibility of the Architect, Engineer,
Designer, Contractor, Owner and Lessee to research the applicability of the ADA requirements for
the structure. The City of Tigard reviews the plans and inspects the structure only for compliance
with Chapter 11 of the OSSC which may not include all of the requirements of the ADA.
Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be
maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors
throughout all phases of construction. 106.4.2 OSSC
Certificate of Occupancy: No building or structure shall be used or occupied until the Building
Official has issued a certificate of occupancy 109.1 OSSC
Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new buildings in
such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road fronting the property.
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed
City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of Tigard in
tracking and processing the documents.
