Tigard, OR -- Permit # MST2004 -00257
Dear Mr. Lee:
Further to your request, we met you at the site to observe the as -built conditions. The
city inspector wrote a correction worksheet regarding some non - compliance framing
items (copy enclosed for reference). The intent of this letter is confirmation of our
discussions in an effort to correct the non - compliant items. We have notified the
engineer of record to inform him that we have been retained to assist in this way.
It is our intent to review the approved permit drawings and recommend how best to
accommodate the existing and approved design as submitted. We will not revise the
design in any way, but merely complete the intent of the structural load path -
included in the approved drawings.
As noted in the correction worksheet, items of correction are needed at shear walls 8,
9, 26, 29, and 30. We have prepared the enclosed SK type drawings to show our
recommendations for remedial work.
We trust this information is adequate for your needs at this time. Please feel free to
contact our office if you have any questions or if we can be of additional service.

Tigard, OR -- Permit # MST2004 -00257 BUILDING DIVISION
Dear Mr. Lee:
Further to your request, we have reviewed the shear wall configuration along the rear
wall of the shop area. It is our understanding that a window was installed, nearly
centered in the rear wall. This window interrupts a braced panel. The following
information and comment includes our recommendations to accommodate this
additional window opening within the lateral load resisting system.
Please refer the enclosed SK -1 sketch showing the as -built conditions regarding the
rear wall of the shop area. Also included are our recommendations as to the
remedial work we are recommending for the braced wall line.
We trust this information is adequate for your needs at this time. Please feel free to
contact our office if you have any questions or if we can be of additional service.
Very truly yours,,
