GeoPacific Engineering Inc. visited the site to review the house foundation excavation subgrade for \i l. , bearing conditions only. We understand that the proposed residence is a two -story single- family . home with a concrete slab -on -grade garage floor, The excavation exposed stiff native silt. The observed subgrade is currently adequate for spread foundation support to a maximum allowable bearing pressure of more than 1,500 psf. The native subgrade is likely to become softened by wet weather or freezing; softened soil should be mucked out from beneath footings just prior to pour.
