REPORT
Lab Sample No.
35076 -1 PIP 36' RES-8.
PROCEDURE
The guardrail system was mounted per manufacturers instructions and tested on a pressure -
treated wooden deck composed of 2x6 planks and joists. Posts were mounted using 3/8' by 2 -3/4° lag
bolts through the plank.
Testing was performed in accordance with Section 4.2 of AC174 (5 -1-02). Loading rates were 45
to 60 seconds. The in -fill load test (4.2.2), the uniform load test (4.2.3) and the concentrated load tests
(4.2.4) were performed in order on the same system mock -up. All final loads were held for one minute.
Testing was performed using a hydraulic test ram with a Masstron Model 3 (SN 1189) load
indicator and a 5000 lb. Model 1010 -1 (SN 22641) load cell transducer with a calibration due date of
1- 23 -05.
