Staff Report
Staff Recommondation:
'Jill The staff recommends approval of this proposed
C-5 zone. Originally, this was to be only a
revision of the euisting C-4 zone. However,
it now appears that we will be needing yet an-
other revision of the C-40 in addition, as
part of the comprehensive Plan. Therefore.
we recommend this to be a new zone entirely.
ror neighborhood protection, we have written ,
,
requirements for the height of buildings,
amount of lot coverage, and setbacks which
are considerably more restrictive than those
of the residential zones theMselves. in ad-
ditiOn, there are nuisance control, large
landscaping requirements, and sign control
which are not requirements of the residen-
tial Zonea.
, .... A oopy of the proposed C-5 is attached.
Planning & zoningg2mision HearkIlLEgbruary 18, 1969
The Commission voted unanimously to approve
the proposed C-5 zone and recomMend it to the
City Council.
