along SW 135th need to be cleared to assist motorist visibility;
the applicant's proposed fence is located satisfactorily based on
the traffic speed of 40 mph for the current state of development x,
of SW 135th and based on the estimated future location of curb
r sight sight lines. (The curb distance is measured at 10 feet for ,
each one foot of speed -- thus the curb sight distance in a 40 mph

quate. To the left, toward SW Scholls Ferry Road, the sight lines from an

{° automobile are in access of 400' ( including the fence ). To the right,toward Tigard, there is a power transformer and power pole that obstruct the
} , view all but for fifty or so feet. The owner of tax lot 7700, corner of Morn
r a `Aa ing Hill and SW 135th, has erected a 6' high fence in a similar manner even
though there is no way to see around it toward oncoming traffic.

There was already a fence constructed that led us to assume we could
extend the fence in our backyard, before we bought the property, the sight
j ' y lines will not be obstructed, (see fig.#2), therefore we feel that the City

of Tigard should grant a variance so that we can enclose our backyard
without losing a large portion of it It seems that because we asked to do the '
right thing by the city we are being dumped on where others just go right out
and break the codes and get away with it. .
