Tax Map 2S1 3CD, Tax It 300) PREVIOUS ACTION: NONE ' - I. FINDINGS: ' Chapter 18.76.020 Granting--Conditions of the Tigard Municipal Code allows a variance if the following conditions are met: I. Exceptional or extraordinary conditions applying to the property that do not apply generally to other properties in the same zone or vicinity, which conditions are a result of lot size or shape, topography, or other circumstances over which the applicant has no control; 2. The variance is necessary for the preservation of a property right of the applicant substantially the same as is possessed by owners of other property in the same zone or vicinity; 3. The authorization of the variance shall not be materially detrimental to the purposes of this Title, be injurious to property in the zone or vicinity in which the property is located, or be otherwise detrimental to the objectives of any City development plan or policy; 4. The variance requested is the minimum variance from the provisions and standards of this Title which will alleviate the hardship. II. CONCLUSIONARY FINDINGS: ! 1. The neighbordoes not object. June 11, 1980 To The Tigard Planning Commission: ; . We wish to add four feet on the south end of our home. This will enlarge two bedrooms. These two bedrooms are so small, there is only room for one person to walk between the bed and dresser. In walking into the rooms, we often run into the end. of the bed and in master bedroom, the bed is so close that when dressing and' • Eu undressing (unless you are careful) you will hit the chest of drawers. Because of the smallness of the rooms it is impossible to arrange the furniture any other way. f We have put up with this condition for years and feel we no longer can tolerate :;: it. We have thought of moving and found that we could not move out of the home we have enjoyed so much. We are asking for you to approve a variance of only one foot.
