RE: GEOTECHNICAL REVIEW OF FOUNDATION E ATION /
LOT 7 - MOUNTAINVIEW ESTATES
TIGARD, OREGON
On July 5'h, 6Th and 8 2011, a representative of GeoPacific Engineering, Inc. (GeoPacific) visited
the project site to review the foundation excavation subgrade. On the first visit, the foundation
excavation exposed up to 6 feet of loose rocky soil fill. We observed removal and recompaction of
the unsuitable fill within the foundation footprint. Based on the observed reworked conditions, the
foundation excavation subgrade is now considered adequate for supporting spread footings to a
minimum allowable bearing pressure of at least 1,500 psf. We anticipate settlements to be on the
order of 1 inch total and one -half inch differential.
Within the limitations of scope, schedule and budget, GeoPacific attempted to execute these
services in accordance with generally accepted professional principles and practices in the fields of
geotechnical engineering and engineering geology at the time the report was prepared. This report
was prepared for J.T. Roth Construction only and should not be relied upon by third parties without
consulting GeoPacific.
Sincerely,
GeoPacific Engineering, Inc. EO PR
