RE: Foundation Supports @ 10318 SW Riverwood Lane, Tigard, OR 97224
Dear Building Official,
I inspected the installation of the push piers, the attachment of the mounting brackets to the concrete
foundation and reviewed the depth and pressure logs. The depths in this installation are fairly deep.
The piers were driven to a depth of about 40 feet.
This driving pressures attained will supply adequate bearing. The bearing capacity will be increased
after installation by the push pier developing skin friction throughout the length. Normally this is not
considered, as the typical driving depths are 16 to 20 feet. Since these piles range 35 feet to 40 feet,
the skin friction developed after driving becomes quite large.
Please consider this letter as acceptance of the installation and to satisfy your permitting requirements
for structural observation. Please contact me if you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
•
