The excavation generally exposed mediums stiff to stiff, native soils. The southeast corner had silted up more than. one foot at the time of our visit. Due to the wet weather the rain has softened the subgrade consideraiily in the upper foot. Diligent mucking is required. Based on our observations, the observed soils below the softened zone are considered adequate for ' spread footing support to a maximum allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf.
