To Whom It May Concern:
We, Sharpe Plumbing, have been hired by the homeowner at the above
address to add a full bathroom and a bar sink to the existing
basement. The home has extensive existing landscaping and retaining
walls that would cause a hardship should a new water service /water
meter /sewer line be required. Therefore, we have consulted with the
City of Tigard Building Official, Mark VanDomelen, and have been
instructed to provide a written statement that since the home has
extremely high water pressure, the 5 /8th meter and 1" water service
should be adequate. He has also confirmed that the 3" waste line will
be adequate as well, as long as we run the new bathroom out a single
line downstream of all other fixtures, tying into the existing 3" line
with a wye and an eighth bend. (OAR 918 - 750 -140) We have included
a signed letter from the homeowner stating his understanding of a
potential water pressure drop should multiple fixtures be used
simultaneously.
Thank you for your time,

To Whom It May Concern:
I understand that the current water pipe sizing, including the water
meter, is slightly undersized for the added load that I am requesting
Sharpe Plumbing to place on my plumbing system. Should all the
fixtures be used simultaneously, there is a slight potential for a drop
of pressure in the wat -r • g system.
