THE EXISTING SHEAR WALL IS SHEATHED EACH FACE W/ HOLDOWNS EACH END.
DURING PAST REMODELS, A MAN DOOR WAS CUT INTO THE EXISTING SHEAR
WALL.
THE EXISTING SHEAR WALL IS TO BE REPLACED WITH A NEW STEEL MOMENT
FRAME. THE STEEL FRAME HAS BEEN DESIGNED UNDER CURRENT 2010 OSSC
WIND / SEISMIC REQUIREMENTS. IN ADDITION, THE STEEL FRAME HAS BEEN
DESIGNED TO RESIST THE FULL LOAD CAPACITY OF THE EXISITNG SHEAR WALL.
