Correspondence * CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
1. Foundation vents are closable with sign posted on electrical panel
explaining "How to Use." -
2. Moisture resistant wallboard used at least 70" above drain in shower or
tub.
3. Shower door will be made of shatter resistant material and will not swing
inward.
4. Door between garage and living area to be 1 3/4" solid core, self closing.
5. Smoke detector to be connected to a commercial power source. w g• 611
6. One roof vent per one roof square - each vent providing 50 sq. in. of
venting.
7. All trusses are hung with hurricane tie downs.
8. Insulation will not exceed a 25 -flame spread rating and /or 450 - smoke
density rating.
9. Crawl space vapor barrier will be lapped 12" at its edge.
10. Range hood, dryer and bath fans will be ducted to outside air.
11. Crawlspace height to be minimum 18 ".
12. All framing material: DF -L #2 or better, or standard or better unless
specified. T. & G. decking, utility.
13. All exterior headers, 4 x 8 DF -L #2 or better or specified.
14. Nail & Glue -all subfloor materials.
15. Fireblock all stairwells and line with 5/8" type "X" GWB.
16. Block under all partitions.
17. 1/2" x 10" anchor bolts with flatwashers @ -6 0.C. max 12" max from
corners or splices.
18. Plywood sheathing nailing: 8d @ 6" 0.C. edges

19. All windows double glaze, and tempered if less than 18" from floor or
from door openings.
20. Concrete: Minimum compressive strength of concrete @ 28 days shall be
3000 PSI for walls & slab
2500 PSI for footings
Max slump shall be 4"
21. Foundations shall bear on firm undisturbed soil, a minimum of 12 inches •
below original and 18 inches below final grade.
