My numbered responses correlate to your numerical listing under each category. SITE WORK: 1. A foundation investigation was performed by Carlson Testing, Inc. The report was submitted with the permit application. We have enclosed another copy for your use. The test report notes that this site has a low potential for damaging ground effects from liquefaction(page 5, Site Liquefaction). We have requested Carlson Testing review our documents for compliance with their report. Also, the original report was specific to "piles ", Carlson Testing has amended their report for spread type footings. This is enclosed for your review. March 4, 1999 City of Tigard - Building Department Jim Funk Page 2 2. a. Fill if any was placed prior to our involvement with this site. We have no information as to how the site was filled. Carlson Testing has amended their report to included the use of spread footing on this site. Also, on page 0.2, site work, we added a note requiring that Carlson Testing inspect the footing excavations prior to "construction." At that time any corrective measures will be performed to the satisfaction of Carlson Testing and Nicoli Engineering to insure the structural integrity of the structure. b. The soils special inspection form has been signed and for your review. The items II and III have been added to the sheet 0.1. 3. Detail 4/C2.1 has been updated to show the "lynch type" catch basins. 4. Pipe size has been revised. 5. Pipe size has been revised(see sheet 1.2). 6. The storm drain line is to be 8" to water quality. The sanitary line will tie into the existing 6" sanitary line(see sheet 1.2). You are correct in comment about the confusion regarding the sanitary sewer line. Hopefully the drawings and this letter will clarify the confusion. Mr. Nicoli has been reprimanded for creating this confusion. Our sincere apologies. 7. Nicoli Engineering is good, but we haven't developed a way to get xxxx to flow uphill yet. At this time we will be following the direction of flow of the existing line. The flow direction has been noted on sheet C1.2. 8. Detail reference numbers have been revised to reflect the correct page numbers. Again, Mr. Nicoli will be severely reprimanded for this mistake. ACCESSIBILITY: 1. The mounting height of the sign has been noted on sheet C2.1. The sign requirements are noted on detail 9/C2.1. 2. An accessible route from the exterior stairs has been added to sheet C1.1. March 4, 1999 City of Tigard - Building Department Jim Funk Page 3 FIRE ANIFE SAFETY: 1. he "fire f testing report" has been resubmitted for your review. The fire flowlest report was performed by Delta Fire for and adjacent project, but rifles that the site has adequate water supply. 2. he "fire flow work sheet" has been resubmitted for your review. The required fire flow is well under the available flow test results and is not in excess of 3,000 gallons. If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to call.
