Please respond to conditions below. 1) Uniform Load required in Table 1607.1 OSSC for light storage is 125 psf. 2) Combustible material is not allowed in Type II construction. 3) Size of joist and beam shall be calculated with a 125 psf uniform load. 4) Please provide breakdown of required restroom facilities as required by Table 29 -A OSSC and accessible stalls as per Chapter 11. When responding, provide an itemized letter stating in what way each numbered issue has been addressed in the revision. When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please use a copy of the City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of Tigard in tracking and processing the documents. The four conditions from your review are itemized below in italics. The corresponding responses follow in bold font. 1) Uniform Load required in Table 1607.1 OSSC for light storage is 125 psf. The primary use for the mezzanine is roof access and miscellaneous storage. The use is not classified as storage warehouse. Signage will be provided at the base of the stairs and at the entrance to the mezzanine stating a maximum of 40 psf of live load. 2) Combustible material is not allowed in Type II construction. The project is type III B which does allow combustible material. The error has been corrected on the revised permit drawing sheet LS -010 provided for your reference. 3) Size of joist and beam shall be calculated with a 125 psf uniform load.
