The proximity of the property to the 100 year floodplain, requires that a permit be obtained for the filling of property in this area. On June 1, 1992 you came to this office to obtain the required fill permit,_ however, you were informed that a document prepared by a registered engineer or surveyor was needed which showed the location of the 100 year flood plain and the location of the fill As of this date, no permit has been obtained for this fill. This letter is to notify you that a fill permit (with the appropriate documentation that shows the fill is not located within the 100 year floodplain) must be obtained, or the fill must be removed within 10 days of receipt of this letter. If you wish to place fill within the 100 year floodplain, a sensitive lands permit will need to be obtained. Please contact the Planning Division (639 -4171) for information on this type of permit.
