RE: Fanno Creek Boardwalk
Pile Driving Procedure
To Whom It May Concern:
As requested,, we submit the following procedure to drive the piling for the
boardwalk;
1. The boardwalk is supported by tea 3" galv. pipe piling at 8' centers.
2. Each pile has a design load of 50001b, including dead load and 100Ib /sf live
load.
3. The piling were driven to 10,000Ib or 5 ton capacity.
• 4. A hydraulic jack with a pressure gauge was used to determine the actual
load. 4331psi equated to 10,000Ib of load.
5. The pile were driven and tested acceptably, meeting the design
requirements.
6. As time goes on, the pile will set or freeze and the pile resistance will
increase significantly.
This procedure was performed and witnessed by Zen Dutsen, Jeff Peck /City of
Tigard, Vello, VAK Engineering, and Paul and Nick of Civil Construction.
Everyone in attendance was satisfied with the acceptable results.
