I found the attached inspection receipt stuck to my garage door on October 12, 2010 and immediately phoned to discuss.
I had not received a response so I phoned again this morning. Given I was unable to reach you this morning, I thought it
best to follow up via email. Please note I have copied Steve Pfeifer, the contractor for the wall construction and the
person who originally requested the inspection.
Under the Result Comment section of the inspection receipt, there are several items mentioned.
1. USA erosion final required: Neither Steve nor I are clear as to what is required. Please advise. From whom do
we get this?
2. Engineer sign off required — special inspection final: Attached site review document from engineer David Hall
should address this item.
3. Summary letter required: Attached site review document from engineer David Hall should address this item.
4. Note: Fencing being done at time of inspection: Why is this relevant?
It is my desire to close out this permit ASAP. Please advise what additional information is required to do so.

construction of the Lock and Load Mechanically Stabilized Earth Retaining Wall at the

In general, I can state that construction of these walls meet the criteria specified in the
Documents prepared by this office and that which is typical for this type of Retaining
Wall System in the North West area

I made a visit to the above location to review the Lock and Load MSE Retaining Wall under
construction at the above location.
During this visit, the following items were observed:
Excavation for the walls had been completed. The first row of concrete panels and
counterforts were installed. Excavation had been completes exposing a Clayey Sand.
Gravel Import for the reinforced portion of the wall was present at the site.
No concerns were observed.

Retaining Wall
I made a visit to the above location to review the Lock and Load MSE Retaining Wall under
construction at the above location.
Approximate eight feet of wall had been completed at the time of my review. No concerns
were observed.
The Home Owner contacted me on September 23, 2010 to inform me the contractor
installing the conduits for the rear light poles at the North End of the site had trenched and
the top row of geogrid reinforcing had been cut. This is not considered to be an issue.
