Description of scope of work for the Firelite NIP-24 fire alarm panel at
Precision Interconnect.
Install a MP -24 fire alarm panel to be used for emergency power shut down.
This will include the panel, batteries, (4) smoke detectors, (1) strobe / horn,
(1) pull station, and (1) aux. relay for alarm/ trouble monitoring from the
main lire alarm panel.
This panel is being installed to provide early smoke detection and power
shut down for the computer room and telephone switch room.
The fire alarm system is being interconnected to the building main fire
alarm panel which is a central station monitored system.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
All 400 Series"' ionization smoke detectors include a unique dual source, dual unipolar chamber detection design
which will sense the presence of smoke particles produced by fast combustion as well as slow smoldering fires. This
chamber exhibits increased stability, significantly reduces nuisance alarms, and provides better performance at higher
air velocities.
The 400 Series meets the performance criteria required by UL/ULC. Additional key features include an LED which
blinks in standby and latches on to indicate an alarm. Detectors feature convenient field testing and sensitivity
metering. The model 1400 includes remote LED annunciator capabilities using the RA400Z.

APPL1C11TIONS
Designed for indoor use in atmospheres which are not poten- ,; °
tially explosive. Use as a means of allowing anyone on the
premises to turn in a non -coded alarm quickly, without chance *44 1
of error. Typical uses include: 'fix
1. Schools.
2. Hospitals.
3. Retail stores.
4. Industrial plants.
5. Warehouses.
Compatible with any appropriate control panel to:
1. Initiate local alarm signals.
2. Trip a municipal fire alarm box.
3. Start fire pumps.
4. Any other function that can be initiated or controlled by the
closing of a switch contact. FIRE
OPERATION
The stations feature non-break -glass operation.
They are operated by a pull on the pull cover. This causes a key ALARM
latch to aot-eseimeteretaining4nechanism until adequate force
is applied to open the station. As the station opens, a switch is
released to initiate an alarm. The retainer in Model BG-8 is a ire L I Tea A La r m S
permanent high tensile spring, which eliriinates the need for a
glass retainer. When so operated, the cover hangs down (and
cannot be reset without use ef a reset key) indicating that the ($G8
station was used to initiate an alarm (OPERATED STATIONS
CAN BE SEEN UP TO 100 FEET AWAY.) (Shown full size)
The attractive design of the stations highlights its engineered
r simplicity and unusual dependability; bumping, shaking, or jar -
§ ring will not activate the switch or circuit, instructions for opera-
tion of the station are- dearly marked on the front of the pull
cover.
