Dear Mr. Kenworthy,
This letter will summarize our response to your "First Review" letter dated April 3, 1996. In
addition to this letter you will receive under separate cover revised drawings and the engineers'
calculations for the project. The revised documents include:
1. Tenant Improvements dated April 8, 1996
2. Structural calculations and details
3. Mechanical drawings and specifications dated April 5,1996
4. Mezzanine and Equipment shop drawings from the manufacturer
The following is an item by item response to your comments. Drawing numbers indicated below
refer to the revised drawings.
General
1. The various engineers for the project have provided stamps with wet ink signatures for their
respective portions.
2. Sheets M -1 and M -2 have been revised and plotted to scale.

Structural
1. Structural details and calculations have been submitted by Chalker Putnam Collins and Scott
(CPCS) for the full height wall separating the office and manufacturing areas.
2. Structural details and calculations have been submitted by CPCS for the HVAC equipment,
mechanical/electrical racks, added structure to support mechanical/electrical racks and
miscellaneous hanger details. The Owner's engineer will provide calculations.
3. Structural details and calculations have been submitted by CPCS for the cooling tower
foundation. CPCS has reviewed the original manufacturers shop drawings and confirmed
it's compliance.
Nonstructural
1. A request for modification for the building has been submitted to David Scott at the City of
Tigard. See enclosed copy.
2. Deed restrictions have been prepared by Dean Blair of David Evans and Associates and have
been forwarded to Washington County and David Scott at the City of Tigard for his review.
3. Dean Blair of David Evans and Associates has determined the property line exists and has
filed a request with Washington County to remove the property line and combine the parcels
into one property. The application form is enclosed.
4. TETRA will comply with the NFPA requirements and will limit the quantity of LP -Gas to
less than 735 lbs.
5. The existing mezzanine will not be occupied.
6. The stair indicated from the manufacturing area has been deleted. The terms of the lease
require TETRA "to return the property to it's original condition ". For this reason we are
requesting to leave the stairs as is and lock the hollow metal door at the top of the
stairs. Attic ventilation is provided with two 2' x 2' transfer grills with fire dampers high on
the north and south walls of the office area. See sheet A1.11 and A1.12.
7. Design numbers have been added to the wall types located on sheet A2.01.
8. The door schedule has been revised to reflect the required ratings. See sheet A0.01
9. Hazardous materials will be stored in UL listed storage cabinet in the Maintenance Shop,
Room 182.
10. The door on the south wall is existing and is shown on all floor plans.

11. The plans have been revised to show the landings outside exterior doors. See sheet A2.01
and A2.11.
12. Handrails and guard rails are shown on plans and detailed on sheet A9.01. Also see
mezzanine shop drawings for manufacturer's details.
13. Stair and ramp details have been included on sheet A9.01.
14. Exit signs are indicated on sheet A2.11 and A212.

16. An exit sign is provided for door 125C.
17. The lunch room has been revised. The diagonal dimension has been reduced to 68 feet and
the separation between exits is 44 feet. All exit doors out of the lunch room have been
revised to swing in the outward direction. See A1.11.
18. All exit doors from the lunch room, door 122B and door 128A have been revised to include
panic hardware. See the door schedule on sheet A0.01.
19. All glazing in 1 hour rated corridor has been revised to indicate 3/4 hour assemblies. See
the door schedule on sheet A0.01.
20. A section has been provided for the 1 hour corridor. See section 3 on sheet A3.02.

21. The mechanical drawings have been revised and indicated a combination smoke and fire
damper assembly where penetrating the 1 hour corridor wall. See sheet M -1.
22. The mechanical drawings have been revised to include return air ducting from the corridor.
See sheet M -1.
23. The mechanical drawings have been revised to include automatic shut -offs for units
providing greater than 2,000 cfm. See Mechanical specification.
24. The City of Tigard requested that the applications be forwarded to LP2A for incorporation
with the revised submittal package. Fees will be collected at permit issuance. See enclosed
application.
25. Existing ladder and hatch are indicated on sheet A1.11 and A1.12.
26. Code compliant connections will be provided for the mechanical equipment. See
Mechanical specification.
27. The required provisions of automatic shut -offs for the mechanical equipment have been
included in the Mechanical specification. See mechanical specification.
