EER MARKETING GUIDE
The purpose of this marketing guide is to provide a reference to the capacity and
efficiencies of large rooftop products from 20-130 tons. The ratings are determined at
• ARI 360 conditions.
•
Definition of Terms:
MBh: 1000 BTU per hour or 1000 BTUH.
EER: Energy efficiency ratio. A ratio calculated by dividing the net cooling capacity in
MBh by the total power input in kw at any given set of rating conditions
expressed in BTUH per watt.
System Kw: All power going to unit (Compressors, fans motors and controls)
IPLV: integrated part load value. A single number part Toad efficiency figure of merit
calculated.
ARI 360: A standard established for testing, rating, specification and performance
requirements.
ARI 360 conditions at full load 80/67 evap 95 amb. and part load at 80/67 evap 80 amb.
