Your up dated information. O
Monday 02.26.01;
12:20 to 12:45pm we ran the generator to gather data (work performed by
Kerrie Standlee P.E. w/DSA Engineers - Acoustical). With the preliminary
data given to me by Kerrie, I contacted Bill Crocker (Lowe's H.I.W.) to
convey what I've learned. In the final analysis, Bill felt that for all
parties it would be in the best interest if Lowe's seriously considered
moving the generator to the east. The best location would be in the grassed
area due north of the rear loading dock.
Wednesday 02.28.01;
11:30am I met at the job site Bill and Kerrie to review again the data
gathered at the generator's existing location and "what if" we relocated it
to the east. I had brought to the meeting some dwg studies w /the new
location. I had taken into account the noise and visual concerns needed. As
a result, we felt that the new location meet the criteria's as expressed by
all parties. With that said,
1:OOpm
There was a meeting at the City of Tigard (attendees: City of Tigard; Dick
Bewersdorff, Julia Hajduk, James Hendryx, Gary Lampella, Lowe's H.I.W.; Bill
Crocker, Stoel Rives LLP; Mike Robinson and myself. The meeting ran approx.
45 min. First, all gathered field testing data was presented and discussed.
Secondly, we presented to the City the alternate location and how it could
be the best choice for all. I was asked to move forward with further
investagation at this proposed location and to get the distances to the face
of wall at the two residence across Beveland to the north and the two
commercial buildings to the east in relation to the proposed location. The
tone at the end of the meeting was upbeat with great optimism that the final
product will be a win for all.
Presently, I will be working on putting all of the field information
together and preparing dwgs that will be submitted to the City Planning and
Building departments for review and approval.
I believe that you will very pleased with the final results as we are
looking at to date. In summary the generator will be relocated as I
described above. Additionally, the generator's cooling blower will be
directed to the east (towards 72nd Ave.) With the topography in that
location we will inherit the slope/hillside to bench or carve into which
will aid in reduction of noise and aesthetics. The vibrations that you felt
according to Kerrie were due to the winds that was coming from the cooling
radiator and highly unlikely from anything else. Could you please get back
to me regarding the wood fence that Lowe's is presently required to install.
Per our meeting on 02.22.01 you indicated that the chain link fence that you
had installed is all you'd like to see in lieu of wood. Please confirm that.
The approved landscape plans will be used and completed as is with the
omission of the wood fence if you'll confirm that. Thank you again and as
