Clearwater Avenue, Suite 201 J Kennewick, WA 99336 509- 783 -2144 Fax: 509- 736 -0790 September 6, 2000 • Mr. Gary Lampella Building Official City of Tigard 13125 SW Hall Blvd Tigard, OR 97223 RE: ON -SITE STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM - LOWE'S - TIGARD, OREGON Dear Mr. Lampella: Based upon our notes from a meeting with Continental Dirt Contractors, JUB Engineers and staff from the City of Tigard last week, it was agreed that no tracer wire and rigid pipe with flexible couplings at manholes were required to be installed because the following proposed alternative methods were used: 1.) The storm drainage system can be located from the surface by visual observation of the pipe from manhole to manhole. 2.) Since the storm drainage pipe installed is a flexible corrugated HDPE material instead of rigid pipe, flexible couplings within 1 foot of the manhole are not necessary. The storm drainage system has been installed in accordance with the professionally engineered civil plans, approved for construction by the City of Tigard. Sincerely, J -U -B ENGINEERS, INC. Vince J.
